Insane
This is a shout out from sunny San Diego (click it or ticket!) ;)
Well, what have I been up to lately? A fuckin' lot! Good times in San Diego... The past week-end was awfully insane... Gentsch visited me again but that's not the reason... On friday I decided to go to Long Beach to meet Gentsch n check out the Courthouse rail. That's the rail Apples did kicky backtail biggie out, as seen in Really Sorry, which is in my opinion still one of the best skate videos ever! So, I went to Long Beach and found out that Long Beach is a beautiful city, really. It's so nice over there... California...
To cut to the chase I checked out the rail then and noticed that two of the four rails are gone:
Besides those new round rails are skatestopped. Nevertheless nice spot n u can still skate the kink rails on both sides...
After checkin out the rails Gentsch texted me to come to Rowley's house so I went there to meet up with Geoff Rowley, Gentsch and Ewan Bowman aka. "The Bow" aka. best film maker in business ;) Rowley liked one spot where I shot a picture with Gentsch n wanted to go there so we headed straight to this ditch. But the drive to this spot wasn't that easy... First of all a pickup in front of Rowley's n my car suddenly dropped a mattress he had had in his trunk so we had to avoid that on the freeway! Pretty sick move but worked out well. So we actually were lucky but a couple of mins later there was a traffic jam n the car in front of me slammed on the brakes n I didn't make it so I unfortunately hit him... not too bad. I was lucky. So we pulled over, exchanged stuff n so on but everybody was fine. The guy was like don't let that ruin your day, I appreciated it how nice he was! But now the interesting thing... After get going and driving like half an hour again we saw the same car hit by another one on the shoulder of the freeway and we were like what the fuck!? That was soooo fuckin insane... unbelievable. Haha. Good for me anyways... The traffic is awful over here... n you know what? In California bikers are allowed to overtake between cars in traffic jams, that's so dangerous...
After that we finally reached the spot where Geoff did a super nice trick :)

So the picture was made n it was gettin dark so I took the guys to a pretty good Mexican food place n we enjoyed some food. Bottom line: wonderful day with Geoff, Ewan n Gentschy
In the evening Gentsch n me enjoyed a cool Jim Beam in the hot Jacuzzi, that was good life! Hell yeah.
Next day, we kinda woke up early cuz we wanted to head to Long Beach again to meet Arto Saari.
Before we headed straight to LB, we gotta get to Rune Glifberg's really quick cuz he had one of Gentsch's battery packs. Done. Arriving in LB we met up with Arto, Rob Gonzales, Danny Montoya, Louie Lopez and so on at a kinda hard spot:

After Rob got his trick we went to the Rosecrans Ave ditch which is an amazing spot I think. I liked it a lot. Was so fun.

When the sesh was over we decided to get some food together. Arto took us to an awesome place in Hollywood.

Unfortunately I had to say good bye to Gentsch later on at Arto's. Gentsch flew back the following sunday. Arto has a beautiful house n an amazing skate pool in his garden. Super rad!
Besides Arto is a super nice guy!

Well today, the 1st of December I went to LA, Glendale n Santa Ana. Beautiful.

What else? Yeah, I went to the movies by myself n watched Due Date! Dude, that movie is awesome! Please check that out! And what's next? Well, the semester is over soon so I have more time for my skateboard n travelling. Besides Mesem is gonna hit me up. I hope u guys keep your fingers crossed for my finals.
